Farm Tour – Dyer Family Organic Farm

  • Dyer Family Organic Farm 5846 Becky Lane Ann Arbor, MI, 48105 United States (map)

This event has been postponed due to a Dyer family emergency. We will reschedule as soon as possible!

Join us for a tour of the Dyer Family Organic Farm! We will begin with a potluck at 1pm and at 3pm we will continue with the rest of the visit, during which we will be:

  • touring the farm (fields, barn, bee hives)
  • talking about their garlic and bees, organic certification and agricultural practices,
  • talking about the research project the Dyers involved in with the U of M on cover crops and carbon sequestration (reversing global warming)
  • discussing any other farm / CSA issues

For the potluck, please highlight dishes with garlic! Also, please remember this is a farm and dress for that/current weather. Each person should bring a dish to share, their own beverage (water will be provided) and full place setting (per usual we want to work toward zero waste, a goal of the Dyer Farm, as well). Please also bring a chair for each person, if possible.

In order to provide the best and most informative tour, we are limiting the number of attendees to 20. If you want to go, please RSVP as soon as possible by completing this form. If you RSVP and later find you won’t be able to make it, we ask that you please let us know in advance by emailing jheady@umich.edu so that we can release your spot to someone on the waiting list.
