Eastman’s Antique Apple Orchard Tour

  • Eastman's Antique Apple Orchard 1058 West Midland-Gratiot County Line Road Wheeler, MI, 48662 United States (map)

$20

While we love donuts and petting zoos as much as the next gal, this isn’t your typical fall orchard jaunt. On October 30th we’ll be taking a tour of Eastman’s Antique Apple Orchard in Wheeler, MI. Eastman’s currently grows over 1,400(!!) varieties of antique and heirloom apple varieties, with names like Lord Lambourne and Cornish Gilliflower. Eastman’s encourages people to experience flavors that they can’t find in most grocery stores. They’ll be leading us on a tour and tasting of several of their varieties, which will begin at 1pm and last around two hours (if you’re driving from Ann Arbor, we suggest leaving around 11am in order to arrive in time – we’ll be coordinating some carpooling). The price of the tour will be $20 and will include a small bag of apples to take home.

In order to provide the best and most informative tour, we are limiting the number of attendees to 20. If you would like to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible by completing this form.

If you RSVP and later find you won’t be able to make it, we ask that you please let us know in advance by emailing leadership@slowfoodhuronvalley.com so that we can release your spot to someone on the waiting list.
