About Us Slow Food Huron Valley (SFHV) is a 501(c)3 chapter of Slow Food USA and is located in southeastern Michigan. We work to strengthen our region’s food system, build community food security, and preserve our culinary heritage. Like Slow Food USA, our chapter seeks to create dramatic and lasting change in the food system. We inspire a transformation in food policy, production practices and market forces so that they ensure equity, sustainability and pleasure in the food we eat.

4th Annual Terra Madre Dinner with Silvio’s Organic Ristorante & Pizzeria

Please join us on December 10th, Terra Madre Day, as we celebrate Slow Food’s anniversary with more than 1,000 other communities around the world. Terra Madre Day is part of Slow Food’s campaign to promote the diversity of food traditions and production, and show how our network is using its creativity and knowledge to build a better food future.

Three generations of Silvio Medoro’s family will be preparing a traditional Italian meal in support of the Slow Food Movement, and helping us send Michigan delegates to represent our region at the international Slow Food conference.  There will be a cash bar.
